Steuart Padwick, award-winning UK furniture designer, met Armourcoat at Design Shanghai in March 2014. The resulting collaboration of the Eye Of The Storm UHPC Ductal table has been met with industry praise at Clerkenwell Design Week and Super Brands London. Steuart spoke to the editor of Bizmode magazine in Beijing in the build up to the Shanghai show 2015. I had known of Armourcoat for many years, but had never met them until exhibiting alongside them in Shanghai. They talked about Ductal, this amazing material and so I suggested I design a piece to really express what the material could do, they would develop and manufacture the piece and I would exhibit it. Armourcoat are a fantastic company to work with. They are creative, innovating and always willing to try something new and work as hard as they can to make sure the result is perfect. Armourcoat will be showing more of their techniques and innovative processes at Design Shanghai, which were expressed within the EOTS table.
