Steve Ball shared Michael W Doyle IIIs photo. ... I remember holding up my right hand and taking an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States of America against enemies both foreign and domestic. ... Now that Im out of the military... is that oath still binding? ... It is... and always will be, a sacred promise. ... So for those of us who suffer the angst of having to honor that oath against fellow Americans (especially the young) who were indoctrinated into a skewed and perverted view of the Constitution AND not knowing what living in a non-socialistic society was like... ... It is hard... but of necessity that I speak out and share with the young, this reality. ... I am truly understanding now, how many Germans felt in the 1930s who were suffering the same decisions, risking be called traitor, by their own people but standing for the Fatherland INSTEAD of a Fuehrer who demanded a new socialism and allegiance to himself. ... How shall we the live? Francis Schaeffer once penned... ... If I see a madman driving a car into a group of innocent bystanders, then I cant as a Christian, simply wait for the catastrophe and then comfort the wounded and bury the dead. I must try to wrestle the steering wheel out of the hands of the driver. Dietrich Bonhoeffer who confronted Hitler and died for it... ... “The real damage is done by those millions who want to survive. The honest men who just want to be left in peace. Those who don’t want their little lives disturbed by anything bigger than themselves. Those with no sides and no causes. Those who won’t take measure of their own strength, for fear of antagonizing their own weakness. Those who don’t like to make waves—or enemies. Those for whom freedom, honour, truth, and principles are only literature. Those who live small, mate small, die small. It’s the reductionist approach to life: if you keep it small, you’ll keep it under control. If you don’t make any noise, the bogeyman won’t find you. But it’s all an illusion, because they die too, those people who roll up their spirits into tiny little balls so as to be safe. Safe?! From what? Life is always on the edge of death; narrow streets lead to the same place as wide avenues, and a little candle burns itself out just like a flaming torch does. I choose my own way to burn.” Sophie Scholl (who died with her brother in their youth resisting tyranny) ... My oath to my nation, its Constitution and the Godly principles are sacred. Can I do any less?!
