Steve Jobs famously said in 1994: Picasso had a saying -- good artists copy; great artists steal -- and we have always been shameless about stealing great ideas. For me, there is the line between copying someone and stealing the value from stuff created by other, and especially stealing the value its creators couldnt see and bring to the world. Im an artist, from my early years, busy with drawing, graphics, creation of things. Zet Universe is built on top of a lot of knowledge and experience - of such projects as Windows Longhorn, WinFS, Microsoft Semantic Engine, SmartDesktop, NEPOMUK, Horvitzs Notification Platform, Apples Spotlight, Android, Metabase, and many other projects. Richness of all of those projects is what makes up the elements from which Im building Zet Universe. After more than two years of hard work, I still believe that theres enormous value in all of those projects, and that founders of many of those projects were unable to see it correctly, or bring it to the world in the relevant form.
