Steve Newman & Tony Cox from Tonys old video tape archives - This clip of Steve and I from 1983 should make you want to both vomit and howl with laughter. One of the producers of Video 2, an old SABCTV show hosted by Delia Sainsbury had seen our show and invited us in to do this. When we got there we were boggled by the utterly awful set, obviously inspired by our tune Roger & Peter which as we told it, was the musical affair between Roger Moore (007) and Peter Sellars (Pink Panther). What is a great little combo of well known melodies played on the guitar, was brought into garish and uber-corny reality by the set designers at SABC. And to add insult to injury Steve was told he cant knock on his guitar like that because it was making the speakers pop in the studio upstairs! So we were miserable and wanted to get the hell out of there...now at last I can look back and laugh at this musical debacle :-)~ ...please write a comment dont be naf with a like...
