Steve Paxton - an early voice of movement who has influenced me with his teachings, observations and ideas talks about the reason why we should all engage in a movement practice. Paxton talks about Dance since it his his known form of practice but you can exchange that with MOVEMENT. What you cannot exchange that with is the more common Fitness as that will lead you to a path Paxton describes as: fall into a routine and mold their bodies into tools from which creativity has departed We should all engage in a substantial movement practice.
