Steve, Winston and Ron. Notice the flap handle is located for the co-pilot. If it was brought to the full up position on a short field approach the trim wheel would be in the full nose up postion and full throttle for the go around (missed approach) made it impossible to stop a vertical climb in this airplane. (or any aircraft of this wieght) It would have taken only about 500 feet for it to stall and nose over into a vertical descent which would require approximately 1500 feet to recover before striking the ground!
