Steve this is a second go with this topic. Maybe, it will be better this time. I just came from watching another Rev War demonstration and re-enactment. These people are supposed to be really good, and they may be better than most. But, once again the narrator used the term “fog of war.” This term is not correct for the time. Further, it refers to the mental fog and confusion as found in battle. It does not refer to the clouds of partially burned powder. The term comes from Carl von Clausewitz, of the Napoleonic era.
