Steven Richards also gave me a pair of tickets for my first Floyd show...he actually didnt like Floyd at the time... I was working at F.W.Woolworths as a stockboy (site of the current Winfields Restaurant... how many times did I sweep and mop those floors???) Anyway... we had a record dept. there and DSOTM was one of the first albums I bought... recommended by the hippie chick, Pam, that ran the record department... I had only bought 45s before... I didnt want to take a chance on spending ALL of that hard earned cash onan expensive album, when I might not like all of the songs... Well, the first two albums I bought at work were Floyd and American Band by Grand Funk... I lucked out... I like EVERY Song on both albums... I took it over to Steves house to hear it in its entirety for the first time... Steve had a real stereo... I only had a mono record player.. poor deprived youth that I was... Steve wasnt interested in hearing it and went out to go play football with his friends... He was sick of hearing Money on the radio and it turned him off, I guess... I was knocked out by the album and became an instant fan... So, somebody gave Steve two tickets to the WYWH and DSOTM tour... Steve didnt want to see them and gave the tickets to me... It was spectacular and I became a lifelong fan of their live shows... They were my daughter, Lauren Prices first concert, too... Steves daughter Madison is also a young fan and saw them at JFK (Laurens first show) and Madison also saw Roger Waters do The Wall ANOTHER Spectacular show...... anyway... ever watch Cloud Atlas??? You never know how some lkittle thing is gonna influence the future... So enough of my blathering... here is Floyds masterpiece...
