Stewart Gunn - An Appreciation: By now, most folk will be aware that Capt Stewart Gunn was sadly lost to us through illness a little over a week ago. As some of us head off to the funeral on Tuesday the flag at the Nav School will be at half mast. Stewart was a key figure in making sure that the Nav School didnt close up and fade away in the quiet days of 2011 as he and others covered classes and kept the light burning on the end of Fiddlers Pier. Even as the new team grew and the place livened up again Stewart continued to teach when he was on shore. More the that however, he was always a source of information and knowledge while showing by example the high standards that we set for staff and students alike here. Thanks Stewart for showing us how its done - by the book.
