Julia Morgan designed this lovely structure not as a home but as the barn for the prize steeds. The Pico Creek ranch still maintains the original stage coach stop, along the road aptly named before it became early Highway One. Before the 70s when the Highway was improved to its present state, it meandered over hill and dale with but two lanes and single lane bridges. So picturesque, we appreciate efforts to preserve such historic artifacts and bucolic scenery wherever possible,
