Stil On Boko Haram Insurgency: In the face of the security challenge in Nigeria and the Militarys inability to combat terrorism, Im of the opinion that Nigerias President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan should, in the interest of the country retire all Military Officers above the rank of Major and appoint a radical Military Officer of the rank of a Major to head the Nigerian Army. Senior Officers in the Navy and the Airforce should also be retired immediately. The leadership of the Directorate of State Security should also not be spared in the retirement exercise. After the sacking and retirement of all senior Military Officers mentioned above, the Federal Government of Nigeria should immediately fund and equip the Nations Military and other security agencies to effectively combat insurgency and other forms of insecurity in Nigeria. Its obvious that the current leadership of the Nations Military and some other security agencies have failed woefully in handling the security challenge in the country. And since our President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is not expected to discharge the responsibilities of the Military Commanders and heads of other security agencies for them, it is the responsibility of the Nations President and Commander-in- Chief of the Armed Forces to effectively command his Armed Forces when necessary, as demanded by the situation at hand. Nigerias President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces should take responsibility for the failure or success of the Nations Armed Forces under his control and command, and as a matter of urgency do everything possible to tackle insurgency in the country which has claimed hundreds of lives of Nigerians. God bless Nigeria.
