Still a few places left.....for this years trip to Diver Training College at Appleton Roebuck (north of York) for the hard hat diving and decompression chamber experience on Sunday 16th November. A DAY NOT TO BE MISSED at a great price. Everyone that has been agrees it’s a great day!!!! diving-serv.co.uk/cdms_hard_hat_decompression_chamber_course.html Price £50 for the day 9am (prompt) till 5pm. £25 deposit (none refundable; you could get someone to take your place if you can’t make it). The additional £25 is payable on the day. Price Includes; 1. Hard hat (diving helmet/lead boots/dive suit) diving in their 6mtr deep pool. Air fed from the surface. 2. 50mtr (pot dive) in the decompression chamber. Feel what it’s like to be at 50mtrs. 3. All tuition and briefings. 4. 2 course lunch. The centre supplies all the kit for the hard hat diving experience; but advise that you wear some thermal clothing (but we just usually wear normal clothing; jeans etc.). You may want to take your own gloves. Total weight of equipment is around 12 stone; but you are well assisted. Everyone taking part should be willing to help others in and out of dive gear. No certification requirements but you are dive certified you will need your log book to record dives (stamped by the centre). You are also welcome to use cameras. There are viewing ports and surface water viewer. Should you wish to try the new modern diving helmets you will need to take your own wet suit and boots. No fins or masks required.
