Still finishing the last commissions. Hopefully, should have all complete by the end of the last week of November. After that, my commission book will be closed indefinitely. After several years of pretty much working mainly on a commission basis, its time for me to move away from specialized orders. I need to be able to work at my own pace, which has slowed down from the pace I was able to keep. I want to be able to concentrate on dolls and designs which inspire me. Speaking of dolls who inspire, last week I received my first Deja Vu doll from Robert Tonner. It was love at first sight. Ive been taking a couple of hours each day to work on a basic fit pattern. The photos Im sharing are of the second fitting of the bodice, and the adjustments to the pattern after the sample was tried on. It is truly a process to get a basic pattern fitted properly, but so worth it in the end. I do want to offer custom fitted clothing for the Deja Vu dolls soon. I thought yall would enjoy seeing some photos of my work process. (PS: she is bald, because she is a wigged doll. I like this because you can remove the hair for fittings. But, she asks that you pardon her baldness) :-)
