Still have not finalized breeding decisions yet. Here is what we have for certain. Caliope is being given the year off or retiring depending on how much flesh she puts on after drying off. Patsy- we are contemplating giving her the year off as well. Casey- Being bred, have not decided on the buck yet. Hopefully going into it this year at a normal weight will prevent the ketosis treatments and induced labor that was necessary this year. Carrie- we are waiting on possible kids. Due date August 17th, she is acting uncomfortable. If she is pregnant I think she will only have 1. If she kids, then we will more than likely breed Patsy, unless we can find a ram and breed one of the sheep. If she does not kid, then we will breed Carrie and not Patsy. If anyone knows of a St. Croix ram, that is not aggressive then let us know. Delivery must be a possibility.
