Still havent heard from PCMC. I know theyve arrived. Because I called up there and their PICU has him and I getting him settled. Theyll call when their done. We are still about an hour out. Going crazy not knowing how the flight went and how he is now! I want to clarify a few things as well, just to keep the story straight! The docs called CHOC first, as thats Jax home hospital. CHOC said they felt the flight was too long, even though the doc told him its only about a half hour difference in the air. Im wishing now id told them to call CHLA. Even though theyve never had Jax, they are a large childrens hospital that takes frequent kids via air. They would have accepted him an we could at least be home! But since CHOC said no the closest childrens hospital was in Vegas. I said if rather go up to salt lake, PCMC knows Jax VERY well. Not only did I not really want I go to a childrens hospital I didnt know, but I didnt really want to stay possibly long term in Vegas! No thanks. Jax spent most of his first five years of life at PCMC. Thats where we lived before moving to California two years ago. It will be fun to see some of our friends. But we could have just visited!
