Still in shock? Dont be... To be honest, I knew this was coming. This is what has happened with every Presidents 6th year in my lifetime. This is not the end of the world. We still have an honorable President who will be needing refills for his veto pen. I hope Democrats like Alison Lundergan Grimes have learned to embrace Obamas excellent record. The Republicans arent going to vote for us either way and all that can happen is liberal voters will refuse to participate. In the few elections where Democrats embraced Obama, we won. Even liberal issues won on the ballots where Republicans seized control. 2016 is two years away. All the studies I have seen say the general presidential election electorate is increasingly becoming liberal and it will be very difficult for any republican to win the White House. Due to gerrymandering it may be difficult to take the House, but we will take back the Senate and we will maintain the White House. Also, keep in mind the Senate is still strongly divided and the Republicans have no super majority.
