Still in shock over this one...As we entered Minto Brown Park with our car filled with our 6 dogs we saw the below pictured couple walking into the park from River Rd carting a kitten. No leash, no collar. Logical and first thought - they are going to dump the kitten in the park. Sure enough. We turned the car around and watched as they set the kitten down in the brush and then walk away. We approached them and they said they never had a cat - right. We found the kitten, scooped her up without any problem and called SPD non-emergency. Here is the best part of the story - while one of us was on the phone with the police a family came up and started loving on this sweet baby and 20 min later this wonderful family decided they would like to give this baby girl a forever home. This kitten is going to be spoiled rotten. :). As for the couple that dumped her, they knew we were watching them and they went deep into the park so the officer was not able to site them. The police will still watch for them but we are hoping someone on Facebook can identify them. We will be in shock over this one all the way around for a few days.
