Still in the hospital - will be all weekend. CT scan of lungs showed swelling in the lymph nodes bilaterally plus in the windpipe/trachea area. Really struggling with shortness of breath and wheezing. Even just walking from the bedside to bathroom. They have me wearing C-PAP at night. My arterial blood gasses were off so they started me on sodium bicarbonate (I also was started on potassium a couple weeks ago because it was low). Im on oxygen @ 2 lpm at all times. Ive walked once outside my bedroom halfway around the parameter of the floor and went into a bronchospasm - had to get an aerosol treatment STAT. Along with the regularly scheduled ones five times daily. The IV steroids are making my otherwise normal blood sugar to run high so I am now having to get insulin coverage. Also getting a shot in my tummy to keep from getting blood clots (lovenox) daily. OF COURSE this all happens right while Im trying to get my youngest childs graduation celebration party put together. I FEEL USELESS & HELPLESS right now ):
