Still on Education, what was the BECE pass rate for 2014? What was it in 2010? What was it in 2006? Or in 1998? Such a serious issue was drowned in partisan propaganda. Months ago, I followed that discussion closely for weeks. I listened to dozens of radio interviews. I didnt get enlightened. It seems we lack a clear and consistent metric for determining annual pass rates in such a critical examination. The politicians have been left to interpret the results for their benefit. Without such a clear and consistent metric, how can evidence-based policy be fashioned, implemented and assessed? Why cant we get the basics right?
