Still on my rant today about how early kids have to get up to catch a bus at 6 AM that doesnt get them to school until 7:30 AM or later. These kids have to be up at 5 AM to get ready for school. An hour and a half on bus to get to school then they are there till 3 PM. No heavenly wonder they are so exhausted and fall asleep at school. As I said before, I know its not the bus drivers fault...they are just doing their jobs. More drivers need to be hired so these kids dont have to start their day at 5 AM. Some dont even get home until 5 PM. This is an issue across the state. Money needs to be allocated for more bus drivers not to mention supplies needed for the classroom teachers. Where is all this money that the lottery is supposed to be giving to education? Some people that work for boards across the state are making more money than the Governor. Reduce those salaries and give to the kids....They do use the motto: KIDS FIRST.
