Still reflecting on Stand up for the Week of tonight , it was jam packed no doubt about that , we all have various reasons for wanting to go into comedy, some want to end up on TV , get laid , have fun etc etc. What I witnessed today at Stand up for the week , confirmed to me Live Comedy is better than TV comedy. TV stand up aint easy folks. It will be wrong of me to comment on the performances of pro comics, afterall , I am still a VIRGIN in the industry , that said ,I never knew there was a warm up act before the main host and he did well. Several takes on jokes needing to be re- filmed , comedy literate audiences rather than comedy novice audiences , audience members could not be fooled. I heard jokes on various topics that you hear in the comedy circuit said and delivered in a different manner on TV. Can I take this opportunity to salute all comics out there looking for their big break , there is nothing like overnight success , hard work folks and keep writing , keep gigging and ignore the haters. From what I saw tonight , there is hope and we are on the right track , if you end up on TV good for you , just learn to improve your networking and gig in front of the right people. Keep supporting Live Comedy without it TV comedy has no foundation.
