Still slow progress with the green screen mini-studio--the proper - TopicsExpress

Still slow progress with the green screen mini-studio--the proper lighting remains a challenge. There has been some progress in the downtown studio, though, and Im posting this just as much as a note to self as in a note to others already involved with the organization and interested in doing greenscreen stuff. We already know that the downtown studio has no facilities to execute greenscreen (chroma) video, but I dare add the word YET. If the new org has any interest in video-making education, theyd do well to incorporate lessons in chroma techniques as well, given its common use commercially. The downtown studio uses legacy software, as one can expect under the circumstances (Sony Vegas Movie Studio 6.0), but I expect that the chroma effects meet industry standards nonetheless, and so I now post those standards given for green and blue, in both decimal and hexadecimal format, in the order of RGB. Green = 41 244 21 (decimal) ---- 29 F4 15 (hexadecimal) Blue = 24 71 241 (decimal) ---18 47 F1 (hexadecimal) The software has additional chroma capability on pure red or green or blue, but that purity only means an RGB rating of zeros for the other colors and 255 (decimal--FF in hexadecimal) in the primary color.
