Still so many unanswered questions. Its sad to think theft of cigars resulted in a death. I wish there was video somewhere of the moments prior to the shooting so there would be solid proof of what did or did not happen between the officer and the victim. Video can not be disputed like eyewitness accounts. Nevertheless, the question still remains .... was he shot in the back as he surrendered to police? If he did not pose a threat at that moment it becomes unnecessary force, doesnt it? Unnecessary force that results in a death is murder. Im sure the officer did not wake up that morning and plan on killing an 18 year old man. But now a mother has to bury her son and any death is tragic. Pray for St. Louis, the family and friends of this young man, the officer and his family and everyone touched by this event. Pray for hearts to be mended, eyes to be opened, and the ugly scars of racism to be healed. Pray for peace.
