Still space in the following art classes in July Art of Reading : Secret Garden A five class course devoted to the study of a single novel and 5 artistic disciplines. Before each class students will read one section of “The Secret Garden” and in class will be asked to respond to their reading in visual form. A new visual medium will be presented each class and students will have the opportunity to choose how to incorporate each technique into artworks inspired by the book. Ages 8-12 July 14, 16, 18, 21, 23 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Art of Reading : Magician’s Nephew A five class course devoted to the study of a single novel and 5 artistic disciplines. Before each class students will read one section of “The Magician’s Nephew” and in class will be asked to respond to their reading in visual form. A new visual medium will be presented each class and students will have the opportunity to choose how to incorporate each technique into artworks inspired by the book. Ages 12-17 July 7, 9, 11, 16, 18 1:30-2:30 p.m. The Art of Superheroes and Comics Students will learn how to draw Superheroes, will explore how their favourite character is drawn, learn how to plan a comic story, create their own heroes and learn about real life heroes.
