Still storming in our area (Ferris, Ellis county) - very loud thunder - I imagine some dogs are frightened (and kids, too). I love storms and we really need the rain in Texas. Im still exhausted - am helping out on a tax project for a Dallas corporation and didnt get home until 3 AM today. I love getting paid, but the other benefit is they keep me going with diet Coke, so Im fine. This week has started great - 1st was the fabulous dessert yesterday - chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and chocolate sauce - yummy (Molten Cake from Chilis). Also, the dough handlers I got on an eBay auction came in and I love the pair. I had been looking at stainless steel handlers/cutters, but they were so small OR the comments (when I checked the products out on the Internet) indicated how dough would get into the handles or the scrapers would be hard to clean. This pair of handlers is huge and no tube-type of handle to get dough in it. When I saw the handlers on eBay, I opened another tab and Googled to find out the retail cost, only to discover these are no longer manufactured, so really wanted the pair then. I have had a plastic bowl scraper for years and that has worked fine for bowl scraping, but really wanted a pair of scrapers to use on the dough board. So thrilled to have this set. And another thing that was great was a free Janet Evanovich book from the library - the Stephanie Plum 15th book and I have finished it and laughed so hard. Evanovich is a wonderful light-hearted writer. I had read Michael Connollys Reversal and, although I loved every book of his I previously read, I didnt like this one at all - the ending was awful, left the reader hanging. My opinion agreed with some by reviewers online. Not nearly as good as his usual works. Going to bed early tonight.
