Still time for you to ‘bloom’ in Erewash Erewash residents - TopicsExpress

Still time for you to ‘bloom’ in Erewash Erewash residents still have time to enter Erewash in Bloom as householders, children and businesses prepare to go head-to-head in the ever popular gardening competition. The competition is organised by the council’s Pride in Erewash campaign and features a wide range of categories – from best gardens through to best community gardens and tallest sunflowers - as green-fingered enthusiasts all compete to put on the best summertime displays and be crowned an Erewash in Bloom champion. Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says: “We are very proud of the success of Erewash in Bloom, which continues to go from strength to strength – and, of course, we are grateful to the many residents, schoolchildren and local businesses who take part and put the flower power into this borough. So if you still haven’t signed up . . . do it now!” The deadline for this year’s competition is Friday 5 July and entry forms are available from Long Eaton and Ilkeston Town Halls or other council venues. They can also be downloaded at erewash.gov.uk/pride. And new for 2013 – residents can also enter online at erewash.gov.uk/erewashinbloom
