Still waiting for these chicks to hatch. They are taking forever. They started pecking the shells yesterday after noon. Two are just now about to crack open. Impatiently waiting. One egg is from a /chick I got from Martha Curtis two years ago. It is a black hen with nearly black combs. I think Martha said it could of been a cross of black austrolorp ? and easter egger. The hen lays light brown eggs. She was bred with Easter Egger Rooster. I already have one chicken/hen from her that turned out solid white with slate green legs like easter egger but its not old enough to lay eggs yet.......maybe in another month or two. So........just waiting for chicks to hatch. Exciting waiting on the olive egger to finish hatching too......taking forever. Did I mention how impatient I can be sometimes?
