Stilton cheese has never been made in Stilton. It has always been made in Leicestershire and brought to Stilton to connect with the coach to London. The cheese was named Stilton by accident. It was, however, no accident that believers in Jesus came to be called Christians. Whether they were first called that by men or by God is open to argument. If men called them Christian, then they saw something Christ-like about them. If God gave them the name, then it was a mark of his ownership and of their identification with his Son.
