Stingray (Brewers) has kindly volunteered for umpiring duties (in return for a variety of fine ales), for the GF. Ive always found him a very fair man with a good grasp of reality. Can we confirm another umpire? Belinda , another brewer or two? Im sure the BBCA as a whole could supply liquid refreshments and/or certain other consumables, if required, in return for sober (or at least a credible façade of sobriety), wise, and non-partisan officiation. Maybe spare Brewers would also like to officiate the Spoon game for the same rich carbonated reward? Wed all love to have non-playing teams and players as involved as possible. I imagine The Brewers will be running a raffle as usual and I would encourage all participants to buy tickets and fork out for their BBQd delights. Bring your WAGS/WABS/, kids (future BBCAsians) and dogs for what is always a top social day even if you are not playing! So looking forward to the GF showdown between the BOYs and The Mullets! My head says BOYs but my heart says Mullets. Wouldnt it be great to see the youngsters win? Obviously said with respect to the Beasts who have been dominant all season and who won the MinPrem by a great margin (and only lost one game...against The Goats!...sorry) Ive heard a rumour that Chris is playing his last season? If this is true then the BBCA is poorer, much poorer, for his absence. A top bloke, true Gentleman and a talented cricketer whose passion for the game and the comp cannot be denied. I remember every boundary Ive hit off his bowling and every boundary he hit from mine, although the ratio is strongly in his favour! Season highlights for me include the first game against Mullets, who won by a run or two, watching Crazy Dave bat, from behind the stumps - never had the pleasure of bowling to you, mate! Playing with Paul and Dan when we were short of players - so great that we can all ask the enemy for a helping hand. BRACCA in the T10! Ditto. PJs spell against The Goats in the re-match - best bowling Ive seen! Playing for NACA V Beasts was a lot of fun, thanks for the invite (getting only my second BBCA 3 fa was alright too). Watching Cedric get to 49no was heart-breaking but a joyous occasion. Andrews hat-trick was amazing! And celebrating his 100th BBCA wicket was something we were all hanging out for. Diamond Daves 25 not out (including a reverse sweep for 4!!!) was sheer bliss for us Goats!! Watching Belindas fine keeping, too... #1 keeper in the comp for sure! And, over-all, a totally hassle-free season with not a bad word uttered. So, regardless of the results next Sunday its been another great year of the mighty BBCA and I know Ill be looking for things to fill the gaps and counting the days over the summer until the BBCA season 2015 starts. Thanks everyone.
