Stipulating that 2% of net profit be allocated as CSR, by law, - TopicsExpress

Stipulating that 2% of net profit be allocated as CSR, by law, takes the step forward from using CSR for brand building, to citizens accepting that CSR is a legal way for companies to wash away their sins. Companies that integrate social and environmental concerns as part of their vision would need no CSR-by-law to do so. By creating a legal provision for companies to invest in "social sector" implies that companies have thus far been legitimately outside the ambit of the "social", and need to be specially brought within it by parting with a token 2% of profit.
