Stirring up: • Yelling also brings that fight up out of you. When you get loud, that automatically brings it up. You can’t help it. Paul said to stir up that gift that is in you. Getting fed-up, ready to fight, causes you to get loud, it is not the loudness, but the fed up pin ager against the devil and compassion for people. That’s one way to stir up that gift. It’s one of the best ways. Do this as you command, GO, RECEIVE, LIFE, BE HEALED, WALK, NOW, JESUS, etc. Of course this is what Curry did in the crises of a dead daughter on his patio, 45 minutes of loud solid commands. He was fed up with the devil and would not stop. • Tongues: Another way to stir up the gift is speaking in tongues. The best way to speak in tongues, to stir up the gift, is to speak in tongues loud. It’s the same thing. It’s the best way. I tell everybody there are three ways to speak in tongues: Fast, Loud, and Hard. You do that, and it works every time. But you need to pray in tongues and you need to do it daily. You need to start out wherever your limit is. The next day you do 5 minutes more. Pretty soon you’re up to an hour. Then you’re up to two hours. When you can do it for 3 or 4 or 5 hours, loud, then you have some spiritual strength. • Preach scriptures and strong sermons to yourself loud, hard and fast. Yell at yourself and command believing it. This is best done with pure Scriptures until you know them well enough to handle sermons. • Stir Up Compassion: Go to a hospital ward and see sick children, or the old left to suffer alone. Or watch a war movie and see all those young men killed. As you look, make confessions that Jesus in you is greater than any horror on earth, and He can heal all of it through your hands. Think on the horror the devil has caused until you are angry. Remember you are given authority over all the works of the devil and any horror you see is the result of Christians not stirring themselves up into godly, like Jesus, action. Get fed up with the work of the devil enough to get angry and mad enough to dominate in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. • Rejoice in the Lord. This is our strength. That means exuberant actions, not sitting still. The biblical words for thanksgiving, praise and joy are all similar, the only difference being the intelligence of the words. Joy is yells and screams, loud shouts, dancing, etc. Thanksgiving and praise are done with the same exuberance but the words are intelligible, they make sense. What do these behaviors look like? Just watch a sporting event when the home team scores and the crowd goes wild, jumping, stomping, clapping, dancing, yelling, arm waving, singing and shouting. That is what biblical exuberant thanksgiving, praise and joy look like. Now use the New Testament, the Servant Songs in Isaiah, and the Psalms for your confessions and praises unto joy. • Affirmation Magnets: Confessions of who and what you are in Christ that you repeat constantly to write and then maintain in your heart and mind. As these get written on your heart, they become like magnets directing you to seek the Lord in power, love and a sound mind no matter what is happening. The book, “OK, GOD, Now What” has a full program on this. • Check Yourself: Lower levels of action are good for daily maintenance and building up, but stirring up is always exuberance. If the sparks are not flying and the flames roaring, you are probably not stirred up yet.
