Stirring up trouble and invading and/or bombing people who oppose the imperialist operations of the USA ruling class is as old as is the nation itself. The ultimate design, I think, is to incorporate all the old Soviet states into NATO, which is nothing more than an extension of the Pentagon and thus of the Imperial Presidency. The USA has steadily broken every law that demands respect for the borders and people of sovereign nations since the presidency of George W. Bush when it embraced the concept of wars of aggression as preventative policy. It embraced the same tactic that Hitler used on initiation of a war by invading Poland and the Low Countries in 1939. The fundamental nature of American foreign policy has become little more than the imperialist policies of dominate or destroy and then dominate. Sickening, disgusting and it grieves me to have lived to see this fall of the USA into the pit of self-aggrandizing imperialism, murder and mayhem. American imperialism has written the book on stoking internal conflicts to create the pretext for “human rights” interventions for the purpose of toppling governments and installing client regimes—a policy it has pursued most recently in Syria and Libya. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, Washington set about dismantling Yugoslavia as part of its strategy of bringing the former Eastern Bloc countries and former Soviet republics into the US sphere of influence.
