#StolenGP #BankFraud Marianne Nel: Public Servant News Network Johannesburg: Today at 13:34 Earlier I got an sms from Std Bank for a payment to COMAIR for R2750. I immediately called Std Bank and they cancelled my Cr Card but could do nothing about the payment even thought it was still sitting as an outstanding approval in my account. They opened a fraud case and said wait 10 days and requested a new card be issued. Fuming that the Bank just wont do something immediately, I re read the sms and there was a Kulula booking ref. So I log onto kulula website but you need a surname too, so I phone kulula advising me that this flight is from Cape Town to Jhb at 4 pm today. I tell the helpful guy at kulula the story of what happened and he gave me the cell nos of Kululas Fraud dept. I got hold of Quinton and he was amazing. He cancelled the flight immediately, reversed the cr card payment and said that someone would go to meet the person flying from CT to find out how and where he got the ticket. A second attempt was made for a 2nd ticket but luckily my card was cancelled by then. Talking to Quinton was an eye opener and made me want to cut up all my cards and go back to using cash.
