#StolenGP Kylie Cristin: Public Servant News Network Johannesburg: 17:30 23/06/2014: I was involved in a house robbery on Saturday in Lyndhurst, 5 Black males broke the gate and ransacked the property, the criminals got away in a Gold Mercedes however we were unable to retrieve the registration plate as they were in such a hurry to leave they left the boot open.... the police officers arrived roughly 20 mins after the incident... and were rather unhelpful to say the least... one gave a smug smile on his face as he proceeded to tell me that were going to be waiting a long time for the finger prints department because its been a rough day with break ins... we gave them our statement and I just felt as though we were honestly wasting our time because they were so uninterested.... over their intercom, one of their colleagues pulled over a gold Merc with 5 suspects but instead of letting us go to identify them, they told the suspects they could leave because they couldnt find anything on them - we still havent received a case number... making it impossible to claim from insurance.... quite honestly apart from the handful of decent and helpful cops out there.... our police force is absolutely pathetic! Im disgusted to say the least... first you get robbed at home in BROAD DAYLIGHT! a place youre supposed to be safe and then the police department couldnt actually give a damn! 21:55: Just called the cop station and a case was never even opened....
