Stop Believing in a False Narrative One day I was having a discussion with my oldest Son Adam (Who is a Police Officer by trade) and he said something to me that really stuck in mind even though it was just casual conversation. The story he told me goes something like this; Adam said, “There was this child in Walmart that was giving his Mom and hard time with unruly behavior and the Mother saw me in uniform”. The Woman told her Son, “”You see the Cop over there? If you don’t stop misbehaving this way I’m going to have him arrest you and take you away”. Adam said “I’m not going to arrest you; I’m here to help you when you need me”. My son didn’t know how profound his statement was about the False Narrative being believed by society today. In my opinion everyone listen way too much to either Liberal or conservative editorial news medias or so called experts on everything possible in our lives. Who do I blame for the False Narratives and civil unrest concerning Police, Race and any other subject of the latest selling propaganda. I blame the news medias both liberal and conservative (isn’t a shame we liberal and conservative News sources. I thought news was reporting the facts and not editorial opinion), Activists that say there for what your believe but it’s really a money making industry, the less than 1% Police Officers that are self-center for their on desires that hurt the 99.5% that is there as my Son says “I’m here to help you when you need me”, anyone that uses Race as excuse in order not to try and achieve their desires in life, anyone who is so uneducated that refer to the Police Officers in slanderous names or anyone that refers to someone else in society or even themselves as anything other than an American or a Citizen of the United States. People in place a position of Authority are always held to higher standard but everyone should treat each other with respect regardless of Race or station in life. That is just common decency. Free speech is something I personnel have served for to give myself and all of you that right. But free speech doesn’t mean you have the right to say something you know will likely cause physical harm or death to another regardless which side of any issue you are on. You have the right to say something that would make the other side bold boil but when you give an order to cause harm you should be held accountable within the limits of the law. I believe all should respect those in authority over you, treat others as you would wish to be treated, and understand you are accountable for your actions – Not Someone Else. The real narrative that are leaders should be proclaiming is as follows: “We are all Americans and the vast majority of Police are here to protect and serve you; Trust them but when you find the small exception not following procedure follow the law and state your case to known credible authorities. Police Officers should know the vast majority of citizens are on their side and they should not stop trusting in that belief but they should follow President Reagan advice and “Trust but Verify”! Stop being sheep and following money making sources. My Son and his fellow Officers are not a money making agenda. Theyre here to help when we need them!
