Stop Diverting Constitution Attention Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) has advised government to stop diverting the attention on calls for the releasing of the draft constitution. FODEP executive director, MacDonald Chipenzi syas it is a non issue for government to start investigating the leaking of the final draft constitution to online media. Chipenzi wonders why government would want to investigate the matter when they have stated that the leaked document is not authentic. He says government should simply do the right thing with regards the final draft constitution instead of investigating a matter which will not yield fruit. Chipenzi says it is funny that the Minister of Home Affairs could talk about investigating the leak when no member of the Technical Committee has complained about the leaked document. And Mr Chipenzi says what Zambians are interested in is the release of the draft document and not the investigation. Chipenzi has also urged government to uphold transparency and openness in matters pertaining to the constitution making process to avoid things like speculation and leakages. zambiareports/2014/01/22/stop-diverting-constitution-attention/
