Stop Waiting **************** One of OCDs bluffs is perfection. It cons you into believing that you can get perfection and that just right feeling. It also deludes you into believing that once you are well you will then be fit enough to pursue your goals, dreams and desires. But to do so whilst you are struggling with OCD is not an option. This type of delusional thinking is sabotaging your recovery and well- being. Wellness and recovery means stepping out of your comfort zone and practising achieving your goals. Anything else is avoidance. I often say to my clients OK you have OCD, but you are not physically disabled. Physically you can achieve and do. The thing thats in your way is that you are listening to false messages. You have to stop cultivating your OCD, by ignoring the false messages and continue to do as if they didnt exist. When you start ignoring OCD and start doing and achieving your ambitions and goals, you are fixing your brain that is going to be in harmony with yourself. Start doing...the brain will eventually follow. ~Karen
