Stop looking at others, look to God. It all started with me counting my years, from one birthday to another my frustrations intensified. Because with every birthday cake I cut, there was a deep painful cut like putting salt not icing on the wound. Reason is as I count my age, I couldnt help it but to compare myself with my age mates. What my age mates, friends, college mates & Collegues have achieved, then I sunk into depression and detested birthday wishes, including the knife that cut the cake for it cut me deeply. #Fact is that my friends have achieved greatly in the areas of relationships, marriage & family life. They have achieved in their careers, bussiness or ministry. They have financial security, they can take their families for holidays but I cant even afford to have Family lunch at a restaurant. The more I looked at their success, the more questions I had. #Does God reward faithfulness? #Truth is my friends a running their own race at their own speed focused on their lane. Stop looking at others & what they have achieved, mind you own race, stick to your own lane, focus on the finishing line. The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all (Ecclesiastes 9: 11 ).
