Every lawyer that is surrounding county of a casino is basically on retainer.And severalcounties surrounding the actual reservation,which is only whre one casino sits,near atmore al.The other two casinos are aprox 160 to 170 miles from reservation.Surrounding counties have a hard time hiring a local lawyer due to this.Lawyers from out of state are not usually well recieved in courtrooms.Good ole boy rule.There just are no lawyers in alabama that have learned Native Law.So,here,you are mainly under state laws and whatever constitution laws of PBI,because they are only state rec tribe and hold much monopoly on this as well,and council members sit on all boards and all gov regulation boards regarding native rights and enforcing native laws.The Cultural protection falls under Robert Thrower,for the entire southeastern area.If any remains or sacred objects are discovered,they call Robert Thrower,have always called PBI since 1960s we know.Rarely was MCN even contacted,and still mainly are not.The laws only require the closest tribe that can be directly associated with the remains or lands.Here,that would be PBI,always.
