Stop watering down the genocide in Gaza. Stop watering down the drone attacks in Afghanistan, in Waziristan, in Somalia, in Yemen. Stop making your rage and your frustration at institutions that continue to relentlessly perpetuate oppression safe and easy for them to digest. Stop diluting it. Stop referring to it as the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, a misunderstanding. Enough with the neutrality. Stop worrying about coming off too strong; This is not the time to portray a balanced argument. An attempt at objectivity in such situations is an attempt at siding with the oppressors, because as someone put it so well, it ignores the the power dynamic between the settlers and the native communities. Enough with the sugar-coating. Call it what it is: a genocide, a violent infringement upon the basic rights of being a human, continuous vicious attacks on people in occupied land. Start changing your language, be vocal. If youre a person of faith/religion, make endless dua and prayers. Dont stop, no matter how small the effort. And always, always be with hope. No matter how tired, or how angry, or how hopeless you feel, keep going.
