Stopped at a nearby Target store today and did some healthy shopping. I like Target because they have less junk foods placed at the end of aisles tempting you to make poor buying decisions. What did I buy? Well, their Silk unsweetened 30 calorie almond milk is cheaper than most supermarkets, and their 2-pack is cheaper yet. So, I picked that up. Then I bought some frozen fruit (mango!) for smoothies, stopped in the pasta aisle and bought their organic gluten free spaghetti since so many members suggested I try gluten-free instead of their whole wheat version as I did on my last trip. I did eat a serving tonight. Verdict? Tasty. Better than most. But not much fiber. The whole wheat version has about 6 times as much fiber, as I recall. Since Im not suffering from celiac disease, Ill probably go back to the whole wheat, but at least I know their organic gluten free spaghetti is good. Picked up their organic tomato sauce, and a name brand of vegetarian chili and refried beans. Oh, I also tried Amys vegetarian meatballs, which was in the freezer section. Added it to my pasta dish. Delicious!! Better than real meatballs in my opinion. Better than Trader Joes or Whole Foods brands in my opinion too. Might be hard to find, though. The carton I bought was the last one on the shelf! :)
