Stopped by Max BMW to pick up my top case today and the sales manager tossed me the key to this R nineT. Brandy new, never been on the road. See you in an hour, Bones. Retro cool, wheels and a motor simple, raw and powerful, flickable, fabulous braking, and very nicely executed. Turned quite a few heads on my ride, including two tuners in an Eclipse who laughed because I had put BMW logos on a motorcycle. (Best laugh I had all week!) Would have been more fun to ride a naked in June instead of a 40 degree day in November, but the old school BMW hand warmers (a.k.a., juggs) did help at stop lights. Think Id prefer a Speed Triple for a hooligan bike, but it sure was fun taking this roadster on its maiden voyage. (Thanks, Rob.)
