Stopped by to see dad today - his back has hurt him from last night into today and his right leg has swollen up out of the blue - they say it could be a blood clot but on top of that he couldnt and hasnt been able to go to the bathroom all day so they scanned his bladder area and said if the # came back above 200 ( cc ? I guess ) theyd have to put another temporary catheter in so as to relieve him - the #s were coming up different each time so we decided and dad okd another catheter - He had 1100 + after the nurse put the catheter back in . Moms scared out of her mind and worrying to death ( who can blame her ? ) Hopefully the swollen leg was caused by the excessive fluids in his system but until a Dr can get an ultrasound done of the area its cause is unknown as of yet . I have to work again tomorrow morning so mom told me to go home - unfortunately theres nothing I can do right now so Im home - going to bed shortly since 3 am comes early plus I know mom has a mutual friend of ours staying with her whos been at the hospital with them all day and is going back this evening so moms not alone . one day at a time , its all any of us have . Mom asks for your continued prayers as she fears the worse . I am hopeful but if there is anything in this world that I can hands down say my dad has taught me its the reality of being pragmatic. This doesnt stop me from being hopeful it just prepares me no matter whatever may come . Its the greatest gift my dad has ever given me other than his love .
