Stopped by to visit a friend tending bar in DTLA, when these lads congregate right next to us and start yelling profanities and degrading women amongst each other fairly loudly. I Interject them mid-conversation to kindly ask them to cease their obscenities cause it was irking me, only to be aggressively welcomed by their point man with the question, what are you, a feminist?! He turned around laughing before I could even say anything, but nevertheless, the ball had been dropped, and for the first time in a very long time, vintage 2005 former outside linebacker Chrystian wanted very much so to uptown funk his ass up for that blatantly ignorant and disrespectful remark. But 2015 Chrystian knows better then to let these poor unfortunate souls get under his skin, so I tempered my adrenaline charged yearn to Hulk Smash him in an effort to avoid unnecessary attention to myself and my bartender friend. Moments later, those same group of guys approach these ladies on the other end of the bar that clearly wanted nothing to do with them, and before you know it, I noticed the point guy that insulted me slip something in one of the next round of drinks he ordered, as to give to one of the gals that had went off briefly, perhaps to her car or something. Told my bar friend about it, and while the point guy turned around, he switched their drinks, and when the lady returned, they lifted their drinks up in cheers, as did we from the other end of the bar, and casually stood back to witness the guy roofie himself. As I was leaving, I went up to the guy, already feeling the effects of his actions, patted him on the back, and reminded him that the lady is someones daughter, sister, friend, maybe even a mother herself, followed by something along the lines of him being a poor excuse of a human being with a profane word or two thrown in between... and finally, I said, Yes.
