Stopped in to see Abe today but he was sedated so I just left him be. Doc did a bandage change today and is gonna be writing me up what is going in, whats been done and what the future possibly looks like. Doc thinks he may have some of his hearing because when he sedated him an came in the room and spoke Abe flopped his tail. BUT some of the sutures were messed up by the bacteria. He has sent a culture off to see what kind of bacteria we are dealing with because its bad. Its not good for a bacteria to basically eat through the tissue and ruin the sutures. He had to redo some if the sutures. We are praying its one kind of bacteria (I do not remember the names) and not a flesh eating bacteria of a certain kind. Neither is good and both are horrible but the outcome to one is wayyyyyy worse than the other and I am not speaking as just for Abe. I am scared shitless to say the least. :( I am sure doc is super worried himself. PLEASE keep Doc and Abe and everyone involved in your thoughts and prayers. Please pray the culture testing comes back in everyones favor!
