Stories from the 40th ward......all the names are changed to protect the innocent...except mine. I am running for Alderman in the 40th because these stories have become waaaaay to common place. September - My friend Brenda who lives in Andersonville told me that two women knocked on her door and asked her to sign a petition for Pat OConnor. They got to talking and one of the women told Brenda - Oh no we dont live in the ward. Our husbands work for Streets and San and they HAVE to collect signatures. Fast forward to this week: Brenda called me and said that two men came to her door yesterday evening and said that they worked for Streets and San and that they could increase her ward services if she voted for Pat OConnor. TODAY: I was canvassing with another friend, Annie and a woman on the street told us that two men knocked on her door a few days ago and told her to take the Dianne4Ward40 sign out of her window or she may have trouble with her driveway permits. I know the city drill. I have lived here over 32 years. But if anyone out there is listening.....we really do not want leadership that puts men out on the doors in the ward who threaten senior citizens...... Dianne Daleiden
