Storm Advisory #3 - 9:45 a.m. Wind gusts were recorded at almost 60 mph in Humarock early this morning. We currently have over 10 inches of snow. Evacuations have occurred on Marion, Surfside, Central and Jericho Roads. There are 17 residents in the Shelter at Scituate High School. We have all DPW equipment on the roads. Emergency vehicles are having challenges and a news crew truck is stuck at Lighthouse Point. Flooding will increase along coastal areas. After increasing winds for the past hour they have subsided somewhat but still heavy drifts. Next tide will increase flooding. The storm surge from the a.m. tide went into areas not commonly impacted. Until the water recedes the Town cannot make visual inspection of roadways, seawalls and revetments. Reports of wires down have remain isolated but are likely to occur once the wind dies down and snow sits on wires. Please stay off the roads and check on your neighbors
