Storm Chasers Collect Seventh Straight ‘Best of Omaha’ Award Omaha Magazine readers tab Back-to-Back National Champions as Omaha’s Best Sports Team OMAHA, Neb. — The Omaha Storm Chasers have been named Omaha’s Best Professional Sports Team by the readers of Omaha Magazine, continuing a seven-year run as the first-place selection. The announcement comes after the Chasers became Back-to-Back Triple-A National Champions and earned a third Pacific Coast League Championship in the last four seasons. “The Best of Omaha Award is a distinct and special honor for the Omaha Storm Chasers. To earn it for a seventh consecutive year is on par with the Back-to-Back Triple-A National Championships in our eyes, because it is a direct affirmation from our fans,” said Martie Cordaro, President and General Manager of the Storm Chasers. “This drives our work to continue to improve the fan experience at Werner Park year in and year out. With the First National Bank Triple-A All-Star Game coming during the 2015 season, our Opening Day on April 17 cannot come soon enough.” The seven-year streak of being named Omaha’s Best Sports Team encompass all four years at Werner Park, where the Storm Chasers have seen a franchise record four straight division titles with 1,657,455 fans in attendance in the history of the ballpark. Looking to become the first team in history to win three straight Triple-A National Championships, the Storm Chasers 2015 season will begin on Friday, April 17.
