Storm Drain Outfall Hunters Help The Ocean! Save The Whales is working with local cities and college students to help with storm water pollution prevention. College students are taking GPS data points of storm drain outfalls and then mapping these points in a GIS map for the cities. Most storm drains lead directly to the oceans or local waterways. Pollution such as motor oil, pet waste, antifreeze, trash, paint, and pesticides can be washed off of sidewalks/streets and get to the ocean through storm drains. Many thanks to our amazing students!
