StormTrack 9: A fair sky and seasonably cool tonight with a low in the upper 50s. Patchy dense fog could again be a problem late tonight and through Thursday morning. Quite warm and humid Thursday with a mix of sun and clouds. Humid with a high in the mid/upper 80s. A cold front then approaches the Tennessee Valley late Thursday night and through Friday. This should increase the chance of showers and thunderstorms locally Friday morning and afternoon. Some storms could produce heavy rainfall and strong wind gusts as the front moves through. Expect a high in the mid/upper 70s. Conditions should improve Friday evening for area football games as the showers taper off. Sunny, but breezy and much cooler Saturday with highs only in the mid 60s. Then, dropping to the low 40s Saturday night and Sunday morning. Sunny again Sunday with low 70s. Fall weather fans will be excited about this weekend!....(David)
